I really like this book. My church Director of Music gave me a copy of Volume One when I agreed to be a "temp" musician after our previous organist/pianist/keyboardist moved away. I bought myself this volume to complement the other.I like the varied music, the clear printing, the spiral-binding.Although these pages are a reasonable size, I prefer the Volume One larger page size since I enjoy singing along and the larger page is easier to read the words and play.I had not played the piano in quite a few years so the traditional music arrangement was much easier to play. (as opposed to choral music with such extensive noting that my mind is constantly having to think what notes they are rather than enjoy the song.) I like that both treble and bass clef music is present - not one of the 'one-note' varieties.
The book is smaller than a standard sized hymnal. Because of its small size, the notes are also very small to see/read.
This volume contains the words and music to many of the older gospel songs. It is a great resource for the person who sings and/or plays for their personal enjoyment or that of friends or family. It is a valuable tool for those who perform in nursing homes or who entertain senior groups. I'm glad to have it in my material collection and I highly recommend it.
